An exceptionally beautiful 18k gold snuff box. Continental made with marks on the rim, possibly Swiss. The condition is very fine with no damage, marks, repairs or wear. The enamelling on the top is exquisite; this box has to be seen to be appreciated. It is double opening, both 11 part hinges are perfect and both lids close very tightly. The box looks as if it has never been used. It probably dates to around 1800.
