Tea Pot Ref: HAN4719

A very scarce bullet tea pot by possibly Scotland's greatest silversmith James Ker, hallmarked for Edinburgh 1742. The quality of workmanship is exceptional with amazing attention to detail - see the top of the original handle and the strainer inside the pot. The chasing around the lid of the pot is crisp as are the hallmarks and there is also the assay masters mark (Edward Lothian). There is no damage or repairs, the hinge on the lid is good and the lid, although has some play, fits perfectly.
